Good morning world. My second blog post! Today I am writing about what could possibly be the most memorable, intense, wonderful, LEGENDARY days of my whole life. Now, if you're from where I'm from then you will know exactly what I am talking about: May 31, 2011. All around the city, maybe even the country, people crowded around televisions, radios, computers, anything they could get their hands and ears on, and listened and watched intently. May 31, 2011 is the day that Winnipeg got the Jets back.
I remember being at work and everyone crowding around a small computer screen watching as True North announced the return of the Winnipeg Jets. It was a truly heartfelt moment knowing that most of the city were on the edge of their seats. Knowing that people were laughing, crying, more than likely dancing around, and celebrating. I called my boyfriend at the time the minute it was over to talk to him about it and quickly made plans to celebrate - yes, I am one of those people. We ended up going to the Forks and getting lost amongst thousands of others celebrating, screaming with joy, laughing, and posing for pictures.
It is a day that I will never in my whole life forget, and I highly doubt anybody from Winnipeg who was fortunate enough to celebrate that day will ever forget it either. When all you hear is a crowd of 5,000 + people screaming at the top of their lungs, "GO JETS GO!", you can't help but smile. Maybe roll your eyes a little bit, but inside you're dying to scream it too.
GO JETS GO!!!

My Very First Blog
Hello to all. A thank you in advance for reading my brand new blog. I promise to try to make it as interesting as possible everytime I post, and I promise to post as often as I can. I have a lot to say about a lot of different topics, so don't be afraid to ask me to blog on a specific topic. As long as I know what it means, we're good! So let's start with me. My name is Ashley. I am 20 years old, (or young, depending on where on the spectrum you are) and my favourite colour is pink. Can you tell? I am a work-o-holic, from work and from home. Friends, family, and work all come first for me. I believe that my "calling" is to make people happy. I love people; love being around people, talking to people, listening to people, looking at people (in the most non-creepy way, I promise). I believe that I am THE best friend anyone could have, but who doesn't think that about themselves? I don't like vegetables, spiders, bugs of any sort, loud noises that come out of nowhere, and papercuts. I know that not a lot of people are going to read my blog, but I appreciate the ones that do.
